If you want to have an online presence, then you will need to have your own website.

The first step is having the great domain name:

DO have your domain name communicate what you do... for example says that this site is all about traffic (getting online customers) quickly (like a laser).

Look around... most domain names of the best online companies tell what the company does.
DO keep your domain name short: no more than three words or characters: laser-traffic is in three parts: 2 words, one character (-).

1- Alteration: If you can put a dash between the words and come up with a unique name, that is a great alternative.

2- Extension: If you cannot get a .com, then you could try another extension like .net, .biz, .org, .us, .int, .co, etc.

3- Broker: Some of the best domain names are held by brokers for sale. These can be a real bargain IF they are exactly what you need for your business.
